Summer 2026 · Registration Open

The gasp.
The wobble.
The grin at the top.

Summit is a full-day rock climbing summer camp where chalk-dusted hands grip holds shaped like dinosaurs and rocket ships — and every fall lands on foam thick enough to nap on.

A Day at Summit

From drop-off to pickup — scroll through the clock with them.

9:00 AM · Drop-Off

First chalky handshake.

Parents wave goodbye. Kids walk in nervous. Counselors know exactly what to do next — which is make everyone laugh within 60 seconds.

"My daughter won the traverse race on Day 3. She's been talking about it since July."

12:00 PM · Lunch & Chill

The hour the stories come out.

Packed lunches, crash mats as beanbags, and the loudest lunch table in any gym in America. Kids compare routes, plan afternoon attempts, and occasionally nap.

The calmest hour. Also the funniest.
1:00 PM · Skill Challenges

This is where they surprise themselves.

Daily structured challenges: footwork drills, dyno practice, partner climbs. Progress is tracked. PRs are celebrated. The gym gets louder every afternoon.

2:00 PM · Free Climb

No instructions. Just climbing.

The last hour is theirs. No drills, no structure — just pick a wall, pick a problem, go. This is where the day's lessons click into place on their own terms.

Questions

Everything parents ask at 10 PM

The answers are shorter than you think.

Summit welcomes climbers ages 5–14. Younger kids (5–7) work on low bouldering walls and crash-mat fundamentals. Older kids (8–14) progress to top rope, lead climbing basics, and team belaying. Counselors assess ability on Day 1 and adjust accordingly.

Absolutely — most campers arrive as first-timers. Our counselor-to-camper ratio is 1:5, so every child gets personal coaching. By Friday, they'll be topping routes they couldn't imagine on Monday.

Closed-toe shoes (climbing shoes provided), a packed lunch, a water bottle, and sunscreen for outdoor warm-ups. Download our free Packing List for the full rundown.

All counselors are AMGA-certified or in training, CPR/First Aid certified, and background-checked. All top-rope climbers wear harnesses and helmets. Bouldering walls are padded to ASTM standards. We follow a buddy system at all times.

Yes! Group bookings of 4+ receive a 10% discount. Email groups@summitcamp.com with your dates and we'll hold spots for 48 hours while you confirm numbers.

Life happens. One missed day can be made up in the same session week if space allows, or credited toward a future session. We don't do partial refunds for single days, but we'll always work with you.

Summer 2026

The question isn't
"Is this right for us?"

By the time you've scrolled this far, you already know. The only question left is which week has openings.
