Summit is a full-day rock climbing summer camp where chalk-dusted hands grip holds shaped like dinosaurs and rocket ships — and every fall lands on foam thick enough to nap on.
From drop-off to pickup — scroll through the clock with them.
Parents wave goodbye. Kids walk in nervous. Counselors know exactly what to do next — which is make everyone laugh within 60 seconds.
"He was clinging to my leg at 8:55. At 9:05 he was already on the wall and had completely forgotten I existed."
Shoes, harness, helmet — all included. No gear needed from home.
Lava floor, traverse races, boulder tag. Counselors build coordination and trust without a single stretch command. By 10:45 every muscle is ready.
"My daughter won the traverse race on Day 3. She's been talking about it since July."

Custom holds in every shape imaginable. Bouldering problems rated for every level. Top rope for the ready ones. The gym fills with concentration faces and victory yells.

Register before 11:00 AM · Wall Time becomes a memory they didn't get to make.
Packed lunches, crash mats as beanbags, and the loudest lunch table in any gym in America. Kids compare routes, plan afternoon attempts, and occasionally nap.
"He called me from lunch. Just to tell me he'd done 'the impossible one.' Then hung up."
Route planning is a serious business at Summit.
Daily structured challenges: footwork drills, dyno practice, partner climbs. Progress is tracked. PRs are celebrated. The gym gets louder every afternoon.
"She couldn't do a dyno Monday. Friday she was teaching the younger kids how."
Partner challenges develop communication as much as technique.

The last hour is theirs. No drills, no structure — just pick a wall, pick a problem, go. This is where the day's lessons click into place on their own terms.
Counselors capture the top-out moment every time.
"Free climb hour is sacred. I've watched kids who couldn't finish a route at 9 AM cruise it at 2 PM like they've been climbing for years."
Friday afternoon is the ceremony. Every camper gets a custom Summit medal. Every family gets the moment they drove here for.
"She wore the medal to bed. Three nights in a row. We didn't say a word."
You'll know it when you see it. Everyone around you will too.
"He's been asking when the next session starts since the drive home."

The answers are shorter than you think.
Summit welcomes climbers ages 5–14. Younger kids (5–7) work on low bouldering walls and crash-mat fundamentals. Older kids (8–14) progress to top rope, lead climbing basics, and team belaying. Counselors assess ability on Day 1 and adjust accordingly.
Absolutely — most campers arrive as first-timers. Our counselor-to-camper ratio is 1:5, so every child gets personal coaching. By Friday, they'll be topping routes they couldn't imagine on Monday.
Closed-toe shoes (climbing shoes provided), a packed lunch, a water bottle, and sunscreen for outdoor warm-ups. Download our free Packing List for the full rundown.
All counselors are AMGA-certified or in training, CPR/First Aid certified, and background-checked. All top-rope climbers wear harnesses and helmets. Bouldering walls are padded to ASTM standards. We follow a buddy system at all times.
Yes! Group bookings of 4+ receive a 10% discount. Email groups@summitcamp.com with your dates and we'll hold spots for 48 hours while you confirm numbers.
Life happens. One missed day can be made up in the same session week if space allows, or credited toward a future session. We don't do partial refunds for single days, but we'll always work with you.
By the time you've scrolled this far, you already know. The only question left is which week has openings.
